Zirconia Crowns
Metal-free, light-transmitting, durable full ceramic.
A zirconia crown is a high-strength full-ceramic restoration with no metal substructure. Because it transmits light like a natural tooth, it leaves no grey shadow at the gum line; it is aesthetic in the front and durable against chewing forces in the back. It is preferred for large fillings, root-treated teeth and comprehensive restorations.
Who is it for?
For anyone with significant tooth-structure loss, root-treated teeth, those wanting to renew old metal-backed crowns, or seeking lasting consistency in colour and shape. It can be applied to a single tooth or the full mouth.
How does the process work?
After tooth preparation and a digital impression, the crowns are milled and fired with CAD/CAM in our own laboratory. Following a colour and fit try-in, they are permanently cemented. The digital workflow makes margin fit and durability predictable.

FAQ
- Zirconia or veneers?
- If tooth-structure loss is minimal and the goal is aesthetics, veneers; if there is more loss, root-canal treatment or durability is the priority, zirconia is more suitable. The decision is made per the tooth's condition.
- Does it leave a grey line at the gum?
- No. Because it contains no metal, there is no grey reflection at the gum margin — a clear aesthetic advantage over metal-backed crowns.
- How long does it last?
- Properly prepared zirconia crowns are highly durable and last for many years. Regular check-ups and hygiene determine their lifespan.
